Delta Air Lines to Launch New Routes to Barbados, Puerto Plata and Mazatlán

Delta is adding more beach destinations from their Atlanta, New York-JFK, and Minneapolis-St. Paul hubs, improving access to popular destinations in Mexico and the Caribbean from across the U.S.

On Friday (February 2, 2024), Delta Air Lines announced the launch of new routes to Barbados, Puerto Plata and Mazatlán from Atlanta (ATL), New York (JFK) and Minneapolis-St. Paul (MSP), as well as increased service to Curaçao.  For winter 2024/25, Delta will serve a total of 50 cities in Latin American and the Caribbean, linking these destinations to ATL, JFK and MSP, allowing for seamless one-stop connectivity to nearly 200 destinations worldwide.  As previously announced, Delta is also launching daily service between Atlanta and Tulum, Mexico starting March 28, 2024.


In Friday’s announcement, Delta Air Lines’ SVP – Network Planning, Joe Esposito, said,


“Delta is establishing vital connections from Atlanta and across the U.S. that allow our customers to reach their dream vacation destinations with ease.  This latest schedule gives travelers unparalleled choice, with up to 1,000 weekly flights to distinctive places throughout Latin America and the Caribbean.” 


Starting November 23, 2024, Delta will launch daily service between Atlanta and Barbados (BGI).  The carrier will also offer Saturday-only service between New York (JFK) and Barbados from December 21, 2024.  From November 23, 2024, Delta will also launch new daily service between Atlanta and Puerto Plata (POP).  Additionally, new service to Mazatlán, Mexico (MZT) will be offered three times weekly from Minneapolis-St. Paul starting December 21, 2024.  Saturday-only to daily service their route between Atlanta and Curaçao starting November 23, 2024.
