Delta Air Lines to Launch New Nonstop Seasonal Service Between Los Angeles and Brisbane

Starting December 4, 2024, Delta Air Lines will launch new direct seasonal service between Los Angeles and Brisbane.  The route will operate three times weekly through March 28, 2025, with an Airbus A350-900.

On Friday (February 23, 2024), Delta Air Lines announced the launch of new seasonal nonstop service between Los Angeles (LAX) and Brisbane (BNE), Australia.  The route will operate three times per week from December 4, 2024, through March 28, 2025, with an Airbus A350-900.  The new Brisbane service will complement Delta’s service to Sydney, which was introduced in 2022, and now operates daily.  In December 2022, Delta also launched three weekly flights to Tahiti, followed by daily service between Los Angeles and Auckland (AKL), New Zealand in October 2023.  Inbound travelers to LAX can also enjoy seamless one-stop connections to over 40 destinations in Delta’s network, including Seattle, Miami, New York and more.


In Friday’s route announcement, Delta Air Lines’ SVP – Network Planning, Joe Esposito, said,


“With this addition of Brisbane, Delta’s upcoming winter schedule will offer our customers up to 17 weekly flights between the U.S. and Australia.  This marks our most extensive schedule to the South Pacific to date, and as we build our presence in the region, we know our customers will enjoy the enhanced experience consistently provided by Delta.” 


As previously mentioned, the route will be operated with a state-of-the-art Airbus A350-900 featuring Delta One Suites, Delta Premium Select, Delta Comfort+ and Main Cabin options.  Delta One guests will enjoy increased privacy and luxury with a fully reclining seat, plush bedding, artisan-made amenity kits, chef-curated meals and more.  Guests traveling in Delta Premium Select will enjoy a wider seat with a deeper recline and an adjustable leg and foot rest, as well as an elevated dining experience, and other thoughtful amenities. 


Additionally, Delta recently launched a refreshed food & beverage program with curated menu selections and specialty snacks, as well as a premium range of beer, wine and spirit choices.  Customers can also enjoy Delta Studio, the carrier’s IFE offer, with complimentary access to over 1,000 hours of content.
