Delta Air Lines to Launch New Daily Service Between Seattle and Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport

Starting Jen 6, 2024, Delta AIR Lines will launch new daily nonstop service between Seattle and Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport.  The new Taipei service will be operated with an Airbus A330-900 configured with four seating options.

On Thursday (December 7, 2023), Delta Air Lines announced the launch of new daily service nonstop service between Seattle SEA) and Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport (TPE) starting June 6, 2024 (pending government approval).  The daily year-round service will be operated with an Airbus A330-900 featuring Delta One Suites, Delta Premium Select, Delta Comfort+ and Main Cabin options.  This will mark Delta’s inaugural nonstop flight to Taipei from the U.S. and the first Delta aircraft operation to TPE since 2017 via Tokyo-Narita (NRT).


In Thursday’s route announcement, Delta Air Lines’ Managing Director – Global Sales, Seattle, Joan Wang, said,


“This route not only opens new doors to Taipei’s captivating skyline, vibrant night markets, and rich cultural heritage, but it also marks a significant stride in enhancing Seattle's global connectivity.  This strategic addition to Delta's trans-Pacific portfolio is poised to make a profound impact on the Seattle market, fostering increased business and leisure travel opportunities for our discerning customers.”


Also commenting on the launch of the bee SEA-TPE route, The Port of Seattle Commission’s President, Sam Cho, added,


“The Port of Seattle welcomes today’s announcement as Delta continues to build on SEA’s status as a hub and its west coast gateway to Asia.  With the addition of the new International Arrivals Facility (IAF) in 2022, SEA is providing a dramatic welcome to the world visiting and doing business in the Puget Sound region. We are excited Delta is demonstrating its commitment to continuing to build on that vision.”

Delta currently offers over 160 daily departures from Seattle to 50 destinations worldwide, with SEA serving as the carrier’s gateway for operations across the Pacific.  In addition to the new Taipei service, Delta also offers non-stop trans-Pacific service from Seattle to Seoul Incheon (ICN), Tokyo-Haneda (HND) and Shanghai Pudong (PVG).
