On Tuesday (May 4, 2021), Delta Air Lines announced an expansion of their Delta Premium Select product to more aircraft, including Boeing 767-300s this month and Airbus A330s starting in mid-July. Both fleets will also receive additional upgrades including refreshed lavatories, new LED lighting, expanded power outlets and memory foam cushions. The refurbished aircraft will have four cabin classes including Delta One, Delta Premium Select, Delta Comfort+ and Main Cabin.

In Tuesday’s announcement, Delta Air Lines’ Vice President – Brand Experience Design, Byron Merritt, said,

“As customers return to travel, we’re bringing them better and more comfortable experiences, and that includes introducing Delta Premium Select to more aircraft in our fleet. We know customers are ready to get back into the world, and that is driving us to accelerate improvements to our aircraft that will give our customers the best onboard products.”

The Delta Premium Select product is an elevated cabin experience available on select international routes. Launched in 2017, Delta Premium Select is available on select widebody aircraft and features wider seats, additional recline and an adjustable foot and leg rest. Customers traveling in Delta Premium Select also receive a TUMI amenity kit and noise-cancelling headsets, as well as a blanket and pillow, so they can arrive at their destination refreshed and relaxed.

In recent months, Delta has also announced plans to outfit nearly all of their domestic mainline fleet with high speed Wi-Fi connectivity, as well as contactless onboard payment options. Additionally, the carrier has introduced a seamless digital experience on the delta.com website that takes the guesswork and complexity out of international travel planning in the age of the global COVID-19 pandemic.
