Delta Air Lines Launches New Nonstop Service from Austin to Denver, Columbus and Kansas City

Delta has announced the launch of three new nonstop routes from Austin, including service to Denver, Columbus, and Kansas City. The carrier is also increasing frequencies from Austin to San Francisco and Indianapolis.

On Friday (August 22, 2025), Delta Air Lines announced the launch of three new direct routes from Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS), including service to Denver (DEN), Columbus (CMH) and Kansas City (MCI). Additionally, the carrier is increasing service on existing routes to San Francisco (SFO) and Indianapolis (IND). With the added routes, Delta now serves nearly 30 destinations from AUS, furthering their strategic growth in a city celebrated for its vibrant music, culture and booming tech scene.
In Friday’s announcement, Delta Air Lines’ SVP – Network Planning, Paul Baldoni, said,
“With these new routes and expanded service, Delta is building on a strong foundation in Austin and creating more ways for our customers to get where they want to go. It’s another step in delivering the network, convenience and premium experience that sets Delta apart as Austin’s leading global carrier.”
Also commenting on Delta’s Austin expansion, Austin-Bergstrom International Airport’s CEO, Ghizlane Badawi, added,
"This is another exciting investment in our community from Delta. We are so grateful for their partnership and shared mission of connecting Austin and Central Texas travelers to more nonstop destinations. We look forward to the continued collaboration with the airline, especially as we make progress on expanding and improving our airport.”
Flights between Austin and Denver will launch on November 9, 2025, and will operate twice daily, while once daily service to Columbus will start on June 7, 2026. Service between Austin and Kansas City will operate twice daily from June 7, 2025. All flights will be operated Delta Connection partner SkyWest with an Embraer E175 featuring Delta First, Delta Comfort and Delta Main cabin booking options.
As previously mentioned, Delta is also increasing service from Austin to San Francisco and Indianapolis. Starting April 13, 2026, Delta will increase service to San Francisco from one to two daily frequencies, which will be operated with an Airbus A319, featuring Delta First, Delta Comfort and Delta Main. Indianapolis service will expand from one to three daily flights starting June 7, 2025.
