Delta will offer a record summer 2025 transatlantic schedule, with new routes to Catania, Sicily, Naples, Rome, Milan, Barcelona, Dublin, Brussels and more.
On Friday (September 20, 2024), Delta Air Lines announced that they will offer their largest-ever summer transatlantic schedule next year. Schedule highlights include new routes to Catania, Sicily, Naples, Rome, Milan, Barcelona, Dublin, Brussels and more. Customer’s traveling from Delta’s key hubs at New York (JFK), Atlanta (ATL), Boston (BOS), Minneapolis-St. Paul (MSP), and Detroit (DTW) will appreciate Delta’s most expansive summer transatlantic schedule ever. Delta guests will also enjoy an enhanced travel experience featuring the debut of Delta One Lounges, free international Wi-Fi, and more premium seating on Airbus A330-900 and A350-900 aircraft.
In Friday’s announcement, Delta’s SVP – Network Planning, Joe Esposito, said,
“With over 700 weekly flights to 33 European destinations and beyond, we’re expanding access to key cities like Barcelona and Dublin with new routes, while introducing our first-ever nonstop service to Catania, Sicily. We’ve also recently opened a stunning Delta One Lounge at JFK, with more to come at LAX, BOS, and SEA. Alongside the rollout of free international Wi-Fi and increased premium seating across our fleet, we’re ensuring our customers enjoy the best in connectivity and comfort from the moment they arrive at the airport to when they touch down.”
As the largest U.S. carrier serving Italy, Delta will increase service to the country by over 10 percent year-over-year this summer, providing even more ways for guests to enjoy the land of timeless beauty, rich culture, and extraordinary history.
Starting May 2025, Delta will launch new daily service between New York-JFK and Catania, as well as four weekly flights between Atlanta and Naples, complementing existing service between JFK and Naples, which was launched in summer 2024. Also starting next May, the carrier will add four weekly flights between Minneapolis-St. Paul (MSP) and Rome, joining service to the Eternal City from Atlanta, Boston, Detroit, and New York. Delta will also offer four weekly flights from Boston to Milan in May 2025, complementing existing service from New York-JFK and Atlanta.
In addition to Italy, Delta is also boosting their global network across Europe next summer, including three weekly flights from Boston to Barcelona, complementing existing service from Atlanta and New York-JFK. Also in May 2025, the carrier will start four weekly flights from Detroit to Dublin, joining service to the Emerald Isle from Atlanta, Boston, New York-JFK and Minneapolis-St. Paul. Additionally, Delta will introduce new direct service between Atlanta and Brussels, with three weekly frequencies, complementing existing service from New York-JFK.
Delta is also further expanding their transatlantic offer from Atlanta, with four additional weekly flights to Athens, bringing the total to 11 weekly frequencies. Travelers will also enjoy three extra weekly flights to Barcelona and Rome, increasing the total to 10 and 17 weekly frequencies, respectively, as well as daily service to Zurich. From Detroit, Delta will also increase service to Munich to daily flights. Guests will also enjoy an elevated travel experience with an increased number of transatlantic flights operated with state-of-the-art Airbus A330-900s and A350-900s, featuring Delta One suites, Delta Premium Select, Delta Comfort+, and Main Cabin options.
