DAE Announces Purchase and Leaseback Agreement for 10 New Boeing 737-9s With United Airlines

Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE) has today announced the signing of a purchase and leaseback agreement with United Airlines for 10 new Boeing 737-9 MAX airplanes.  These aircraft are scheduled for delivery from August 2025 through February 2026.

On Monday (July 28, 2025), Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE), a global aviation services company, announced the signing of a sale and leaseback agreement with United Airlines for 10 Boeing 737-9 MAX aircraft.  These 10 aircraft are scheduled for delivery from August 2025 through February 2026.  Powered by CFM International LEAP-1B engines and featuring advanced split scimitar winglets, the efficient Boeing 737-9 delivers a 20 percent reduction in fuel use and emissions compared to the jets it replaces.  DAE currently owns, manages, and is committed to own or manage a total of 750 aircraft, including 225 from Boeing.


In Monday’s announcement, DAE’s Chief Executive Officer, Firoz Tarapore, said,


“We are delighted to continue building on our valued relationship with United.  Today’s announcement of the purchase-lease back agreement of 10 Boeing 737-9 aircraft follows our recent acquisition of an Airbus A321neo on lease to United, and reflects our continued commitment to the North American market.  We congratulate United on their continued success and look forward to further strengthening our partnership in the years ahead.”
