The popular German leisure airline will station two Airbus A320s in Zurich for the 2021 summer season and fly to nine popular Mediterranean destinations several times weekly. The carrier will serve Palma de Mallorca, the Canary Islands, Greece, Cyprus, Sardinia and Split.
On Thursday (October 29, 2020), German leisure airline Condor announced that they will fly between Zurich and the most popular holiday destinations for summer 2021. The carrier will base two Airbus A320s in Zurich for the season and will serve nine of the most popular Mediterranean destinations with several weekly flights. Condor will offer 28 weekly flights to Palma de Mallorca, Tenerife and Gran Canaria as well as Crete Kos and Rhodes in Greece and Larnaca (Cyprus), Olbia (Sardinia) and Split (Croatia). The new service from Switzerland is in response from the leading Swiss tourist operators and complements Condor’s existing service from eight German airports. In Thursday’s announcement, Condor’s CEO, Ralf Teckentrup, said,
“As a leisure airline we are specialized for nearly 65 years in the tourism segment and co-operate closely with organizers and travel agencies, I am delighted that we are now also launching a diverse destination portfolio in Zurich and that we will be offering attractive deals for sun-seekers in the summer of 2021 together with our partners of many years on site.”
The leading tour operators in Switzerland are also please with Condor’s new commitment to the market. Also commenting on today’s announcement, Hotelplan Suisse’s CEO, Tim Bachmann, added,

In addition to Condor’s popular Economy Class offering, premium Business Class guests will enjoy a free middle seat, special menu, a large selection of beverages, additional free baggage allowance and free sports baggage. Additionally, they will be treated with Priority Service at the airport and can book pre-departure lounge access. Condor also offers a ‘Flex Option’ which allows customers to rebook flights free of charge.
