Condor Unveils New Airbus A320neo and A321neo Cabin Design

Condor’s new Airbus A320neos and A321neos will feature a new cabin design in a two-class configuration.  The first aircraft, an A320neo in the ‘Passion’ color, will join Condor’s fleet in April 2024.

On Thursday (February 29, 2024), Condor unveiled their new cabin design for short and medium-haul aircraft as the carrier welcomes their first new Airbus A320neo and A321neos.  The first aircraft, and A320neo. is expected to join the carrier’s fleet in April 2023 and will feature the ‘Passion’ color.  Both the A320neos and A321neos will be operated in a two-class configuration With Business and Economy Class seats in a 3-3 arrangement.  Once Condor’s short, medium and long-haul fleet renewal is complete, the carrier will have the youngest fleet in Europe.


In Thursday’s announcement, Condor’s COO and Accountable Manager, Christian Schmitt, said,


“Following the modernisation of the entire long-haul fleet, Condor will continue its modernisation programme and renew its entire short and medium-haul fleet from spring.  Over the next four years, this will not only create a significantly younger and more efficient fleet with attractive new features, but also standardise the design and on-board product.  In future, guests will also enjoy connectivity onboard short-haul flights, significantly more storage space in the overhead compartments and more comfort at their seat with selected features.”

 

In the future, Condor’s ‘FlyConnect’ entertainment and internet portal will be available in all cabins on flights operated with the new Airbus A320neo Family jets.  The portal allows customers to purchase various data packages and stream a wide range of movies and documentaries, as well as to listen to music or read magazines on their own personal devices.  Each seat will also be equipped with a holder for mobile devices.  All cabins will be equipped with comfortable Recaro seats.  Business Class guests will enjoy the Recaro BL3710 with more pitch, a longer armrest, and a generously reclining backrest.  Economy Class will be equipped with Recaro SL3710 seats, and seats in all classes will also have separate cup holders and more storage space in the seat pockets.


Condor's new A320neo Family aircraft also feature extra-large overhead bins and customized mood lighting, along with an elegant and stylish color palette with subtle stripes, part of the carrier’s visual brand identity.  Since the end of 2022, Condor has taken delivery of a brand new Airbus A330neo every month, and will complete their long-haul fleet modernization by spring 2024.  With the A320neo Family, the carrier is modernizing their short and medium-haul fleet with a focus on technology, efficiency, and maximum guest comfort.  The aircraft will feature Pratt & Whitney’s latest-latest generation engines, which help reduce fuel consumption and emissions by 20 percent, and have a 50 percent smaller noise footprint compared to previous generation engines.  Both the Pratt & Whitney PW1127G and PW1133G, which will power the A320neos and A321neos, respectively, are also capable of operating in SAF.
