Condor’s Brand New Airbus A320neo Takes Flight

Condor’s new Airbus A320neo, registration D-ANCZ, took the skies on Friday (May 10th), on its inaugural flight under flight number DE1662 with service from Frankfurt to Heraklion.

On Friday (May 10, 2024), Condor celebrated the inaugural flight of their new Airbus A320neo, registration D-ANCZ.  Flight DE1662 departed Frankfurt for Heraklion on Friday morning, and the aircraft will serve Fuerteventura, Gran Canaria, Funchal, Faro and Samos in Greece over the next few days.  This aircraft is the first of 43 brand new A320neo Family jets that Condor will receive by 2029, including 15 A320neos and 28 A321neos.  Condor guests traveling on the new A320neo will enjoy new connectivity onboard as well as the ‘FlyConnect’ IFE portal, featuring the latest entertainment programming, films, series and podcasts that can be streamed via personal devices.  The aircraft also feature larger overhead bins with more storage space.


With improved aerodynamics, advanced Sharklets, and efficient Pratt & Whitney GTF PW1127G engines, the A320neo Family delivers a 20 percent reduction in fuel consumption and CO2 emissions, as well as a 50 percent smaller noise footprint compared to previous generation aircraft.  As of March 31, 2024, the A320neo Family had won over 10,000 orders from more than 130 customers, of which 3,000 have been delivered.
