On Tuesday (December 19, 2023), Condor announced that their Supervisory Board has appointed Heiko Holm as the carrier’s new Chief Technical Officer (CTO).  In his new role, Mr. Holm will be responsible for all technical matters at Condor, and will also serve as an additional Managing Director.  With the appointment, Condor’s technical division will now be an independent department within the organization.  Heiko Holm joins Condor from Wizz Air Group, where he held various management positions in technical and flight operations over nine years, serving most recently as Central Operations Officer.  Prior to Wizz Air, he spent over 15 years in a range of national and international management positions with Lufthansa Technik.

In Tuesday’s announcement, Condor’s Supervisory Board Chairman, Friedrich Andreae, said,

“Heiko Holm has comprehensive management experience in the aviation industry and brings a great expertise in the field of MRO.  With this decision, we are strengthening our technical organisation and enabling an even better focus on the processes in this area, which is critical to success, not least due to the ongoing, comprehensive fleet renewal.  We are delighted that we have been able to recruit Heiko Holm for this key role and wish him all the best.”

With Mr. Holm’s appointment, from March 2024 Condor’s Management Board will consist of four Managing Directors.  In addition to COO Christian Schmitt, who was previously responsible for the technology division, CFO Björn Walther and CTO Heiko Holm, Peter Gerber will take over as Condor’s Chief Executive Officer on February 1st, 2024.
