China Airlines to Launch New Direct Service Between Taipei and Seattle From July 14, 2024

China Airlines will launch new nonstop service between Taipei and Seattle starting July 14, 2024.  The route will operate five times per week with an Airbus A350-900.

On Tuesday (March 12, 2024), Taiwan-based China Airlines announced the launch of new nonstop service between Taipei and Seattle, Washington (U.S.) starting July 14, 2024.  The route will be operated five times weekly on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays with an Airbus A350-900.  Flight CI022 will depart Taoyuan Airport (TPE) at 23:30 and will arrive in Seattle (SEA) at 19:50.  The return flight (CI021) will depart Seattle at 01:40 and touch down back in Taipei at 05:05+1 (all times local).


Celebrating the launch of the new route, China Airlines is offering up to 22 percent off of roundtrip fares.  Economy Class fares start at TWD 19,725 (US $610) before tax.  China Airlines Dynasty members will also receive 2,200 bonus miles per leg on the Taipei-Seattle route through September 2024.  The new Seattle service features morning arrivals and evening departures, facilitating customers traveling to/from North America or major cities in Asia.  China Airlines also offers seamless interline ticketing to 50 popular onward destinations, including Portland, Chicago, Boston, Las Vegas, Orlando and Atlanta.

China Airlines has served North America for over half a century, and currently offers direct service to five gateways, Including New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Ontario (California) and Vancouver (Canada).  The scheduled direct service between Taipei and Ontario, California is the first of its kind from Asia, and is a China Airlines exclusive.  With the dual airport strategy, the carrier offers up to three daily flights to the Greater Los Angeles region.  With the addition of Seattle service, China Airlines will offer over 40 weekly return flights between Taiwan and six destinations in North America.
