Starting November 15, 2021, Cebu Pacific will launch new twice-weekly service on Mondays and Fridays Between Manila and Camiguin. The carrier will also resume twice-weekly service between Cebu and Camiguin on Tuesdays and Saturdays from November 9, 2021.
On Wednesday (October 27, 2021), Cebu Pacific announced the start of new direct service between Manila and Camiguin, with two weekly flights on Mondays and Fridays from November 15th. The carrier will also resume twice-weekly service on Tuesdays and Saturdays between Cebu and Camiguin on November 9, 2021. Both routes will be operated by Cebu Pacific’s wholly-owned subsidiary Cebgo with an ATR 72-600 regional turboprop aircraft. Celebrating the launch of the routes, Cebu Pacific is offering base fares from only PHP88 (US $1.74) through November 10th, for travel through December 31, 2021.
In Wednesday’s announcement, Cebu Pacific’s Chief Commercial Officer, Xander Lao, said,
“We are very happy to launch these direct flights in time with the gradual reopening of domestic tourism. Camiguin is another underrated gem that we believe travelers will enjoy discovering. At the same time, these direct connections will enable residents to fly to and from Cebu and Manila conveniently, be it for leisure or business purposes.”
Visitors to Camiguin Island are required to create an account on cleancamiguinqr.com and upload necessary documents including a health declaration and proof of full vaccination. Travelers must also present a negative PCR test result taken within 72 hours of departure from Luzon, or within 48 hours if departure is from Visayas or Mindanao. Additionally, customers must upload proof of confirmed booking from and LGU-accredited establishment, or clearance from the Municipal Health Officer is staying at a private home. Once all steps are completed, travelers must then download their ID with QR code and save a copy to present prior to departure. Finally, travelers will also be required to take an antigen test on the fifth day of their visit to Camiguin Island.
Currently, Cebu Pacific offers service to 32 domestic and eight international destinations. The airline has received a 7/7 star rating from airlineratings.com for their multi-layered COVID-19 health and safety protocols including contactless procedures, thorough cleaning and disinfection, mandatory masks and face shields and mandatory antigen testing for frontline team members. All Cebu Pacific aircraft are also fitted with hospital-grade HEPA filters which remove 99.99% of airborne particulates, including virus clusters. Cebu Pacific operates one of the youngest fleets in the world with 73 aircraft, including two dedicated ATR freighters and one Airbus A330 freighter.
