Cebu Pacific has restored 100 percent of their pre-pandemic capacity for summer 2022 and will add more flights for customers in Visayas-Mindanao to facilitate the exploration of more local destinations without having to pass through Manila.
On Sunday (April 17, 2022), Cebu Pacific (CEB) announced that they will bolster domestic service from their Cebu and Davao hubs, allowing customers in Visayas-Mindanao to explore more domestic destinations without having to connect via Manila. For summer 2022, the carrier has restored their entire pre-pandemic capacity. During April, CEB will resume direct flights from Cebu to Calbayog, Surigao, Puerto Princesa and Legazpi, expanding their domestic network to 21 destinations. The carrier has, or will also resume service to Manila, Davao, Iloilo, Zamboanga, Coron, Boracay, Cagayan de Oro, Bacolod, Clark, General Santos, Siargo, Tacloban, Dumaguete, Pagadian, Butuan, Ozamis, Camiguin and Dipolog.
In Sunday’s announcment, Cebu Pacific’s Chief Commercial Officer, Xander Lao, said,
“We are happy to keep enabling everyJuan to safely fly across our largest Philippine network. Cebu and Davao are very important for us as they serve as our main hubs in the Vis-Min area. We know that now is the perfect time for us to resume these direct flights while we see an increase in overall passenger confidence. We are positive that this expansion in routes and frequencies would further enable Cebuanos and Dabawenyos alike to fly to their favorite destinations in the country – whether to visit family and friends, or go on much-needed vacations over the summer season.”
Additionally, Cebu Pacific has resumed direct flights from Davao including service to Bohol, Iloilo, while service between Davao and Cagayan de Oro will resume in May. In total, the airline will serve six destinations from Davao, including up to eight daily flights to Manila and up to three daily flights to Cebu.
Cebu Pacific (CEB) currently operates the widest domestic network in the Philippines with 34 destinations, along with 17 international destinations. The carrier has received a 7/7 star rating from airlineratings.com for their multi-layered COVID-19 health and safety protocols. All Cebu Pacific crewmembers have been vaccinated, and are required to undergo regular antigen testing. CEB operates one of the youngest fleets in the world with 75 aircraft, including 22 Airbus A320ceos, six A320neos, seven A321ceos, 10 A321neos, six A330ceos, two A330neos, 14 ATR 72-600s, six ATR 72-500s and two dedicated ATR freighters.
