Cathay Pacific will resume service between Hong Kong and Hyderabad in India starting March 30, 2025. With the resumed routes, the carrier will offer up to 43 weekly flights connecting Hong Kong with five Indian cities by September 2025.
On Monday (November 11, 2024), Cathay Pacific announced the resumption of service between Hong Kong and Hyderabad, the capital city of India’s Telangana state, starting March 30, 2024. Initially the route will operate three times per week, expanding to five times weekly from September 1st, 2025. The route will be serviced with an Airbus A330-300 featuring Business Class and Economy cabins. With the restart of Hong Kong-Hyderabad service, the carrier will offer up to 43 weekly flights between Hong Kong and five Indian cities for summer 2025.
In Monday’s announcement, Cathay’s Chief Customer and Commercial Officer, Lavinia Lau, said,
“We are delighted to be resuming our direct flights between Hong Kong and Hyderabad. These flights will provide customers with access to one of India’s most vibrant cities, known for its rich heritage and booming technology sector.
“The resumption reaffirms our established presence in India and our commitment to enhancing our services in this important market. Our efforts to foster cultural connections and facilitate trade between our home city and India will continue as we further strengthen our network to grow and develop Hong Kong as a leading international aviation hub.”
Cathay Pacific currently operates 31 return passenger flights weekly to four destinations in India, including Bengaluru, Chennai and Mumbai, which will increase to 39 weekly returns by March 2025, and to 43 by September 1st, 2025. This will include twice daily service to Delhi, 10 weekly flights to Mumbai and daily service to both Bengaluru and Chennai. Inbound customers to Hong Kong will also enjoy seamless connectivity the Chinese Mainland and beyond via the carrier’s extensive global network. Additionally, Cathay Pacific offers ferry and coach services via the SkyPier Terminal at Hong Kong International Airport for customers wishing to travel to other cities in the Greater Bay Area.
