Cathay Pacific to Launch New Direct Service Between Hong Kong and Dallas-Fort Worth

Cathay Pacific is expanding their North American network with new nonstop service between Hong Kong and Dallas-Fort Worth.  Starting April 24, 2025, the route will operate four times weekly with an Airbus A350-1000.

On Tuesday (September 24, 2024), Cathay Pacific announced the launch of new first-time service between Hong Kong (HKG) and Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) starting April 24, 2025.  The route will operate four times weekly on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays with a state-of-the-art Airbus A350-1000.  This will expand Cathay Pacific’s U.S. network to six destinations, and their North American network to a total of eight destinations.


In Tuesday’s announcement, Cathay Group’s Chief Customer and Commercial Officer, Lavinia Lau, said,


“With our unique position of having deep roots in Hong Kong, being proudly part of China, and connecting the world, Cathay continues to build Hong Kong as a leading international aviation hub that connects people to the most exciting places in the world.


“Dallas Fort Worth International Airport is one of the world’s busiest airports.  With our Cathay Pacific codeshares as well as other flight options, customers can connect to over 190 domestic destinations in the United States, as well as 11 destinations in Central and South America via DFW, further enhancing Hong Kong’s connectivity with North America and important Belt and Road Initiative participating countries.”

Cathay Pacific currently operates 88 weekly return flights to North America, including service to Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, Toronto and Vancouver, with Dallas-Fort Worth flights to commence in April 2025.  The carrier also plans to increase North American frequencies to 108 weekly returns by May 2025, including three daily return flights to New York, San Francisco and Los Angeles, as well as daily service to both Boston and Chicago.  Additionally, Cathay Pacific will increase frequencies to Canada with two daily return flights to Vancouver and 13 weekly returns to Toronto.
