Cathay Pacific has relaunched service between Hong Kong and Belgium, with the first flight taking to the skies on Sunday (August 3, 2025). The route will now operate four times weekly with an Airbus A350-900.

On Monday (August 4, 2025), Cathay Pacific announced the restart of their highly anticipated service between Hong Kong and Brussels, which resumed on Sunday, August 3, 2025. The route will now operate four times weekly with an Airbus A350-900. The new service reestablishes an important direct link between the airline’s home city and the heart of Europe, offering guests even greater choice, connectivity and convenience. For the peak summer 2025 season, Cathay Pacific is operating nearly 100 weekly return flights between Hong Kong and Europe. This includes five daily flights to London, daily service to Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Manchester, Milan, Paris and Zurich, four weekly flights to Barcelona, Brussels, Madrid and Munich, and three weekly flights to Rome.
In Monday’s announcement, Cathay’s Chief Customer and Commercial Officer, Lavinia Lau, said,
“We are very pleased to be back in Brussels, directly connecting our home hub with one of Europe’s major political centres and a tourism destination that’s steeped in history and culture. Our new service offers excellent flight timings in both directions, enabling customers to wake up refreshed with a full day ahead whether they are arriving in Brussels or Hong Kong.
“Cathay has a long history in Europe stretching back more than four decades. This year alone, we have launched services to three new destinations in Europe with new flights to Rome and Munich having already taken off in June. With increased frequencies to other popular European cities this summer as well, we’re making it even easier for customers to travel between Asia and Europe.”

Cathay Pacific’s Hong Kong-Brussels flights are operated with an Airbus A350-900 featuring fully lie-flat beds in Business Class, spacious seats in Premium Economy, and extended comfort in the airline’s Economy Class cabin. Guests in all cabins can enjoy the carrier’s award-winning inflight entertainment (IFE), as well as high-speed Wi-Fi, which is complimentary for Business Class customers and Cathay Diamond members.
