The option is now available on the carrier’s daily flights CX251/CX252 to/from London Heathrow (LHR) respectively, and will be rolled out on flights to Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG) and Tokyo-Haneda (HND) in the coming months. In Monday’s announcement, Cathay Pacific’s General Manager – Customer Experience and Design, Vivian Lo, said,

“We are extremely excited to be bringing back our First class service after an extended absence as the world’s appetite for travel comes roaring back. We know our customers have been eagerly anticipating being able to fly First Class with us again, and we are delighted to be offering it on routes that we know are incredibly popular with them. We are very proud of the elevated First Class experience we provide, which has been thoughtfully curated to offer our customers a bespoke journey centered on enjoying inspired flavours, calming fragrances and refined textures whenever they travel. We very much look forward to welcoming our First class customers on board and delivering the very best of what Cathay Pacific has to offer.”

Celebrating the return of First Class Service, Cathay Pacific has introduced a limited edition Krug 2004 Vintage Champagne from the House of Krug, along with a special edition Blanc de Lynch-Bages 2018 and Château Lynch-Bages 2000, both superior vintages from the Bordeaux region in France. The champagne and wine selections will be available to First Class guests traveling to/from London in December. Cathay Pacific’s curated First Class beverage selection also includes teas from JING, cold pressed juices from Bless and the carrier’s own Betsy craft beer produced by Hong Kong brewery, Gweilo Beer.

Cathay Pacific’s First Class guests can choose their own preferred dining time with selections from a menu featuring a variety of flavors and contemporary dishes, including hearty favorites, as well as authentic Hong Kong dishes and nutritious wellness options. Sustainably-sourced ingredients include award-winning pork from Dingley Dell Farm, certified sustainable Nordic Skrei cod, and organic free-range eggs from Australia’s Sunny Queen Farm, among others. Additionally, First Class customers on departure from Hong Kong through December 31, 2022 will also enjoy Cathay Pacific’s special Christmas themed menus. The First Class dining service is complemented by contemporary tableware including chinaware from Noritake, cutlery from Robert Welch, and wine glasses from Riedel.

The carrier has also partnered with Bamford for exquisite First Class beading and amenities, including 600 thread-count sustainably sourced cotton bedlinens, amenity kits and skincare products. Guests can also select their choice of pillow as they prepare for turndown service, when cabin crew will transform their space into one of the softest beds in the sky. This includes laying down their mattress and duvet, followed by pillow selection with lavender-scented Bamford Pillow Mist. First Class guests will also receive a cotton sleep suit, slippers and an eye mask from Hong Kong brand PYE, completing their full sensory experience.
