Cathay Pacific has today introduced a fully reimagined lifestyle magazine for customers, bringing inspirational content, whether on the ground or in the air. Titled “Cathay”, the new magazine exemplifies Cathay’s evolution into a premium lifestyle brand.
On Tuesday (May 2, 2023), Cathay Pacific announced the introduction of their new fully reimagined magazine titled ‘Cathay.’ The new magazine exemplifies the carrier’s evolution into a premium travel lifestyle brand, and brings inspirational content to Cathay’s guests, both on the ground and in the air. Cathay magazine has sections dedicated to the carrier’s home hub in Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area, as well as travel & holidays, wellness, dining and shopping. The theme of the first issue is ‘Reconnection’, as Cathay focuses on reconnecting Hong Kong and Mainland China with the rest of the world.
In Tuesday’s announcement, Cathay Pacific’s Chief Customer and Commercial Officer, Lavinia Lau, said,
“We know that our customers want and expect to be able to enjoy a travel lifestyle magazine when they fly with us, and we are delighted to reintroduce a refreshed publication that encapsulates everything we want to bring them, every day – inspiration, delight and discovery. Our purpose is to move people forward in life by connecting them to meaningful people, places and experiences. Through the content we share, we want Cathay to become a brand that people refer to on a daily basis, for inspiration and advice on the premium travel lifestyle.”
Cathay Magazine’s content is extended online in Cathay’s Inspiration content hub, which delivers more high-quality content on the premium travel lifestyle. The Cathay magazine is printed using eco-friendly vegetable oil ink, and is printed on responsible and ethically-produced paper certified by the Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC). When the magazine’s are replaced, they are then properly recycled by the airline’s contractors.
