Brussels Airlines Announces Elevated Onboard Product Across All Cabins

Brussels Airlines has today announced new investments for their onboard product for all guests. Premium Economy will see the biggest upgrades, but enhancements are coming across all cabins both on short and long-haul flights.

On Monday (March 2, 2026), Brussels Airlines announced that they will enhance their guest experience across all booking classes booking classes, both on short and long-haul flights. The biggest investment will be seen on Premium Economy on long-haul flights, with improved tableware and more meal options and an improved service flow, but other booking classes will see improvements too. This is just the latest development in Brussels Airlines’ ongoing commitment to elevate the guest journey. The carrier already announced a full renovation of THE LOFT, the award-winning lounge in Brussels, as well as free Wi-Fi for all passengers and brand-new cabins on their long-haul fleet.
In Monday’s announcement, Brussels Airlines’ Head of Inflight Product, Thibaut Dewilde, said,
“Brussels Airlines is on a journey to overhaul the entire passenger experience. From big and bold investments, like Wi-Fi, new cabins and a renovated lounge, to smaller enhancements like improved menus and tableware: passengers will feel our dedication to their travel experience across all touchpoints. Our aim is to create a boutique hotel in the air and on the ground, and these investments reflect exactly that.”

As part of the onboard service upgrade, Business Class guests departing Brussels will now enjoy a unique culinary experience crafted by double Michelin-starred chef Glen Verhasselt, showcasing the best of Belgian cuisine. Since the start of this year, flights departing from the airline’s African destinations have featured African-inspired dishes, all served on redesigned, modern, and premium tableware.
The upgraded Premium Economy experience features new tableware, with premium Chinaware, steel cutlery and a premium napkin, as well as three choices of hot meals during the main meal service. Enhancements also include improved pre-landing meals on longer flights, an enhanced starter, paper menu cards, and improved headphones for the inflight entertainment. These improvements will be rolled out throughout 2026, with the new tableware debuting as of mid-March.
All passengers traveling with Brussels Airlines will notice product improvements in the coming months. This includes an extra food component on the main meal tray in Economy Class on long-haul flights, reusable premium cups for alcoholic beverages in Economy Class both on short-haul and long-haul flights, and fresh towels and a bottle of water before take-off on short-haul Business Class.
