British Airways to Offer More Summer 2025 Flights to North America Than Ever Before

British Airways will offer their largest-ever summer flying program to North America.  Next summer, the carrier will offer more flights between the UK and the U.S. than any other European airline.

On Thursday (September 12, 2024), British Airways announced the launch of their largest ever summer flying program between the UK and North America, with more flights than any other European carrier.  Additionally, British Airways is the only European airline to offer First Class between London and America.  For summer 2025, the carrier will offer over 400 direct weekly flights to the U.S., Canada and Mexico, including service to 26 U.S. cities.  Inbound customers to the U.S. will also be able to seamlessly connect to over 100 U.S. destination’s with British Airways’ partner airlines.   


In Thursday’s announcement, British Airways’ Chief Planning and Strategy Officer, Neil Chernoff, said,


“The US remains a priority market for us, and we know these network changes will be welcomed by both our business and leisure customers, providing more options than ever before to travel between the UK and the USA.”


For summer 2025, British Airways will increase service to Miami (MIA) with 14 weekly flights, and double daily service year-round.  The carrier will also open a new Miami lounge in 2025, featuring their new design concept.  Service to Austin, Texas (AUS) will increase from seven to 13 weekly flights, while Las Vegas (LAS) flights will increase from seven to ten weekly flights.  British Airways will also increase Pittsburg (PIT) frequencies from six to seven weekly flights, while Washington D.C. (IAD) flights will increase from 14 to 21 weekly frequencies. 


The carrier will increase service from London Heathrow (LHR) to Vancouver, Canada (YVR) by up to seven weekly flights, for a total of up to 14 weekly flights during peak summer.  Combined with daily service from London Gatwick, customers will be able to choose from three different flights to Vancouver from June through September. 


Outside on North America, British Airways will add a third daily flight to Delhi (DEL) for summer 2025, expanding their offer to India to 63 weekly flights across five destinations.  Service between Gatwick and Cancun (CUN) will increase from six weekly flights to daily service, while a second daily flight will be added between Heathrow and Florence (FLR).  New routes to Kuala Lumpur (KUL) and Jeddah (JED), both launching in November 2024 will also continue for summer 2025, while frequencies to Riyadh (RUH) will also be increased.
