British Airways has published their next long-haul Avios-Only flight, with over 400 half term seats to Barbados now on sale. The flight will depart London Heathrow on February 15, 2025, returning one week later on February 25, 2025.
On Thursday (April 11, 2024), British Airways announced their next long-haul Avios-only flight after the first one sold out in less than nine hours. This time, customers will have the opportunity to travel to Barbados, as the carrier has today placed over 400 Avios-Only reward seats on sale. The flight will depart London Heathrow on February 15, 2025, returning one week later on February 22, 2025. The launch of the flight comes as British Airways celebrates 70 years of service to Barbados.
Customers can purchase Barbados reward seats from only £150 + 70,000 Avios. World Traveller Plus seats are available from £330 + 135,000 Avios, and Club World (business class) seats are available from £450 + 200,000 Avios. British Airways launched Avios-Only flights in 2023, with the first long-haul flight to Dubai selling out in less than nine hours, for travel in October half term 2024. While British Airways guarantees 12 and 14 Reward Seats on standard short and long-haul flights respectively, on Avios-Only flights, all seats are available for purchase using Avios.
Members booking Avios-Only flights can do so in any cabin, and British Airways American Express Cardmembers will also have the option to use their Companion Vouchers. These vouchers entitle Members to a second seat for just the taxes and charges, or a single seat for half the amount of Avios. Customers with Barclaycard Avios cards can also use their Upgrade Vouchers.
Along with the Barbados flight, British Airways has also published an Avios-Only flight from London to Geneva for February 2025. Flight BA727 will depart London Heathrow for Geneva on February 22, 2025, returning on March 1st, 2025. Avios-Only flights to Geneva are now bookable from as little as £1 + 19,500 Avios. Since launching last year, over 30 Avios-Only flights have been put on sale, with customers using Avios to fly to popular destinations such as Corfu, Ibiza and Nice.
