British Airways Introduces New Short Haul Routes to Graz, Austria and Rabat in Morocco

British Airways has today announced new routes to Graz, Austria and Rabat in Morocco, expanding their short-haul network to 130 destinations. Additionally, 11 weekly flights between London City Airport and Madrid, will complement existing service from LHR.

On Wednesday (July 9, 2025), British Airways announced the addition of service to Rabat in Morocco and Graz, expanding their short-haul network to 130 destinations. BA Euroflyer, British Airways’ Gatwick-based subsidiary, will operate year-round services to the Rabat, and Graz fore the winter 2025/26 season. Flights between London Gatwick and Rabat, Morocco will operate twice weekly on Wednesdays and Sundays with an Airbus A320 starting November 5, 2025, and fares from £70 each-way, including taxes and fees. Gatwick-Graz flights will operate three times weekly on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, with an A320 starting November 21, 2025, and fares from £60 each-way, including taxes and carrier fees.
In Wednesday’s announcement, BA Euroflyer’s Managing Director, Karen Hilton, said,
“We’re excited to further strengthen our connectivity between London and Austria with the addition of Graz. We will be the only direct operation between the two cities, offering more choice to our customers, whether it’s for business, leisure, or visiting friends and family.
“With its year-round warm weather, Morocco is ideal for those seeking an off-season escape without a lengthy flight time. The addition of Rabat means we now fly to three fantastic destinations in Morocco – an excellent choice for families, couples, and friends alike.”
Starting December 1, 2025, British Airways’ London City-based subsidiary, BA Cityflyer, will also offer 11 weekly flights between London City Airport and Madrid, complementing existing service to the Spanish Capital from London Heathrow, with up to 44 weekly flights. Fares for BA Cityflyer flights from London City to Madrid are available from £78 each-way, including taxes and carrier fees. All new services are available for booking today for the upcoming winter 2025/26 season. The inbound and outbound flights to Madrid have been optimized to connect onto other services from Madrid, particularly South American destinations, including Bogotá, Montevideo, and Lima.

Booking options include Club Europe (business class), which offers more personal space, a full meal with drinks from the bar, and an additional baggage allowance. Customers travelling in Club Europe will also have access to British Airways’ Club lounge which has recently undergone a full refresh, with a brand-new bar serving cocktails and beverages, as well as new décor and furniture.
