British Airways has today announced a new partnership with Aviation American Gin. Customers on transatlantic flights will be offered the highly-rated libation from the inflight menu, while short-haul guests can purchase it from the Speedbird café.
Today (March 16, 2022), British Airways announced a new partnership with Aviation American gin. The highly-rated libation will be available to guests on long-haul transatlantic routes from the inflight menu, as well as for purchase on short-haul flights from the Speedbird café for £6 (50ml). The partnership builds on the opening of the brand new Aviation Gin bar in the airline’s Club Lounge at JFK which opened in October 2021. Aviation American Gin is also available in British Airways’ US and UK lounges and for purchase from the inflight shop, High Life. Aviation American Gin was founded in Portland, Oregon in 2006 and is a metaphor for taste and adventure. Concurrently, British Airways will be launching a new route to Portland on June 3rd, with five weekly flights on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.
In Wednesday’s announcment, British Airways’ Director of Brand and Customer Experience, Tom Stevens, said,
“Offering our customers a premium experience throughout their journey is important to us. Partnering with Aviation American Gin is another great addition to our on-board service. We hope our customers join us in celebrating, with a refreshing gin and tonic.”
Also commenting on the partnership, Aviation American Gin’s International Brand Director, Gareth Williams, said,

Aviation Gin is infused with a blend of botanicals including cardamom, coriander, French lavender, anise seed, sarsaparilla, juniper, and two types of orange peel to create a smoother, softer, more refined take on gin. According to Wine Enthusiast, Aviation Gin is the world’s highest rated gin, having been awarded 97 points. The gin is crafted in small batches in Portland, Oregon.
