British Airways Announces Six New Routes From London Heathrow For Summer 2020

British Airways announced Thursday that summer holidaymakers will be offered six new destinations from London Heathrow next summer. The new routes include cities in Greece, Italy, Kosovo, Montenegro and Turkey.

Today, British Airways announced the addition of six exciting new destinations from London-Heathrow for the summer 2020 season. For the first time, holidaymakers will be able to fly British Airways to Pristina, Kosovo and Podgorica, Montenegro from Heathrow. Both flights will depart on Saturdays between July 4 and August 29, 2020. Podgorica is the capital of Montenegro and the gateway to the country’s stunning turquoise waters and surrounding mountains. In the heart of the Balkans, Kosovo’s capital city Pristina offers visitors charming towns and amazing hiking adventures.

Travelers will also enjoy the all-new destination of Perugia, Italy in the heart of Umbria, where visitors will enjoy the enchanting towns and magnificent mountains. Service to Perugia will be available on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays between July 2 and August 31, 2020. Service to the Turkish Coastal towns of Dalaman and Bodrum have been added back to British Airways’ Heathrow schedule for customers wishing to explore the Aegean Coast. Flights will be available on Saturdays between May 23rd and October 24th and will complement existing service from London-Gatwick to Dalaman and Gatwick service to Antalya starting April 30, 2020.

The sixth destination announced today from Heathrow is the Greek island of Rhodes which will be available for Saturday departures between July 4 and August 29, 2020. This route complements existing service to Rhodes from London-Gatwick. The popular Grecian destination offers sandy beaches, rocky coves and ancient charm. Service to the Greek island of Corfu will also be available from London-Gatwick from May 1st until October 23rd. In Thursday’s announcement, British Airways’ Director of Networks and Alliances, Neil Chernoff said,


“We are gearing up for an exciting summer next year as we add more routes to our extensive global network. We’re always developing our leisure offering and are pleased to be adding completely new destinations to British Airways’ Heathrow map. Our commitment to offering flights and holidays to a wide variety of destinations at competitive prices can help people plan ahead for summer 2020.”


In addition to the new destinations announced today, British Airways will be increasing frequencies on 16 popular short-haul routes from Heathrow including Larnaca, Brindisi, Nice, Ibiza, Tenerife, Split, Olbia, Kefalonia and Preveza.
