British Airways Announces Additional Flights to Popular Spring Destinations

British Airways announced Wednesday that they will add frequencies to popular spring travel destinations in the US and south Africa. Starting in April, the carrier will offer additional flights from London-Heathrow to Miami, Seattle and Cape Town.

Today, British Airways announced that they will add frequencies from London-Heathrow (LHR) to Miami (MIA) and Seattle (SEA) in the US and Cape Town (CPT), South Africa starting in April. The carrier also recently announced increased service from London-Gatwick for the winter 2020/2021 season to Cape Town, St. Lucia and Cancun. Additionally, British Airways is launching six new European routes starting this July from LHR to Greece, Italy, Kosovo, Montenegro and Turkey. In Thursday’s announcement, British Airways’ Director of Network and Alliances, Neil Chernoff said,


“We know that these destinations in the US and Africa are highly sought after, particularly during Spring, so we are pleased to be able to offer more flights to these destinations for our customers who are looking to get away.”


Cape Town service will increase by three flights weekly between March 30th and April 19th, while an additional daily service to Miami will be offered from April 1st through May 31st. Seattle service will also increase by a daily service between April 1st and May 31, 2020.


Naturally, members of the British Airways Executive Club can earn Avios on their flights which can be redeemed for Reward flights, upgrades, hotels, car rentals and reducing the cost of a flight. British Airways’ guests can use Avios to make a partial-payment on the cost of a flight, while still collecting Avios and Tier Points on their bookings.
