JetBlue has entered into finance lease transactions with BOC Aviation for two Airbus A321neos and five Airbus A220-300s. Both aircraft types are powered by Pratt & Whitney’s quiet and efficient GTF engines.
On Monday (June 26, 2023), aircraft lessor BOC Aviation Limited announced that JetBlue Airways Corporation has signed finance lease agreements for two Airbus A321neos and five A220-300s. All aircraft will be powered by Pratt & Whitney’s quiet and efficient GTF engines.
In Monday’s announcement, JetBlue’s Chief Financial Officer, Ursula Hurley, said,
“We’re pleased to strengthen our relationship with BOC Aviation by entering into these attractive finance lease transactions for our next generation, fuel-efficient aircraft.”
Also commenting on the lease transactions, BOC Aviation’s Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Robert Martin, said,
“This finance lease transaction builds on the long-term relationship that we have enjoyed with JetBlue, one of the United States’ most highly regarded airlines. It is also another example of how we are building our balance sheet by deploying capital into latest technology aircraft, using financing structures beyond our traditional operating lease product.”
