BOC Aviation has today announced the purchase of two new Airbus A320neos and four new A321neos. The aircraft will be placed on long-term lease with Condor and are scheduled for delivery in 2027 and 2028.
On Friday (December 29, 2023), BOC Aviation announced the purchase of six new Airbus A320neo Family aircraft, including two A320neos and four A321neos. The aircraft will be placed on long-term lease with Condor and will be delivered in 2027 and 2028.
Founded in 1956, Condor Flugdienst GmbH is Germany’s favorite leisure airline and serves over nine million guests annually to 90 destinations in Europe, Africa, and America from nine German gateways, Zurich and Vienna. The German leisure carrier has a fleet of over 50 aircraft which are meticulously maintained to the highest safety standards by their wholly owned subsidiary Condor Technik with facilities in Frankfurt and Düsseldorf. Condor was the German launch customer for the state-of-the-art Airbus A330neo.
In Friday’s announcement, BOC Aviation’s Deputy Managing Director and Chief Financial Officer, Steven Townend, said,
“We are delighted to be working with Condor once again, supporting its fleet growth and renewal with these six latest technology aircraft. This transaction adds to our delivery pipeline of the world’s most advanced aircraft models, which will enable our Company to continue on its path of long-term sustainable growth.”
Also commenting on the new lease agreements, Condor’s Chief Financial Officer, Björn Walther, added,
“The successful deal with BOC Aviation Limited is another important step to become the operator of one of the most modern and efficient fleets in Europe. The partnership is extremely important for us and we are grateful for the continuous support and trustful cooperation with our new partner.”
