On Monday (August 23, 2021), Binter announced that they have resumed service between Gram Canaria and El Aaiún with flights operating since August 21, 2021. The two weekly flights will operate on Tuesdays and Saturdays and the route will be serviced with an ATR turboprop aircraft. Flights will depart Gran Canaria at 11:30 and will land at Hassan I International Airport at 12:15, after the short 45 minute flight. The return flight departs El Aaiún at 12:45 and arrives in Gran Canaria at 13:30. Binter recommends that all guests check travel requirements for each region before booking tickets to ensure compliance.

Founded in 1989, Binter began flying in the Canary Islands archipelago with service connecting the islands and a clear focus on public service. In 2005, the airline began to operate flights outside of the Canary Islands with the goal of offering direct connections to other markets. Currently, Binter’s international route network includes 16 routes with nine destinations in Africa and seven destinations in Europe. The carrier’s African network includes Casablanca, Marrakech, Agadir, Dakhla, El Aaiún, Nouakchott, Dakar, Banjul and Sal. Binter’s European network includes flights to Madeira, Lisbon, Lille, Marseille, Toulouse, Turin and Venice.

In 2018, the airline began regular service to national destinations, first to Mallorca and Vigo, and later to Pamplona, Zaragoza, Murcia, Santander, Vitoria, Asturias and Jerez de la Frontera. In 2021, Binter also added service to Tarragona.
