On Thursday (August 14, 2025), The Board of Airline Representatives in Germany (BARIG) announced that CMAC Group, a leader in ground transport, accommodation and disruption management, has become the newest member of their business partner network.  Operating in over 100 countries, CMAC Group works with a trusted global network of 13,000+ small and large vehicle supply partners across the UK, Europe and Australia.  Through this new partnership with BARIG, CMAC Group will further strengthen their European growth strategy and commitment to passenger wellbeing.

In Thursday’s announcement, CMAC Group’s Managing Director, Wim Kanon, said,

“We are proud to have been delivering continuity and care during disruption for over 18 years.  By joining BARIG, we have a stronger platform to collaborate with airlines operating in the region and further develop our industry-wide solutions.”

Also commenting on CMAC Group’s new membership, BARIG’s Chairman and Executive Director, Michael Hoppe, said,

“We are delighted to welcome CMAC as an innovative partner that helps airlines improve passenger and ground staff experience in exceptional situations.  Its presence in our network supports our ongoing efforts to improve processes and service delivery across the aviation sector.”

CMAC Group arranges the transport of over five million passengers annually, delivering technology-led services for their partners facing cancellations, delays or diversions.  This includes Smartlink, a self-service booking technology for hotels and ground transport, allowing airlines to respond faster in case of exceptional circumstances that can lead to disruptions.

Founded in 1951, Frankfurt am Main-based BARIG (Board of Airline Representatives in Germany e.V.) represents over 100 national and international airlines in the scheduled, charter, low cost and air cargo sectors.  The association works to improve conditions in the aviation industry in Germany and is the key industry contact for politics, authorities, industry and media.
