The Board of Airlines Representatives in Germany (BARIG) has today welcomed Layover Solutions, and AI-supported platform that provides assistance for coordinated services, as the newest member of their network.
On Wednesday (February 21, 2024), The Board of Airline Representatives in Germany (BARIG) announced that Layover Solutions has become their newest industry partner. Layover Solutions offers an AI-supported platform that provides assistance for the coordination of services. Exceptional circumstances such as bad weather or labor disputes can lead to air traffic disruptions or flight cancellations, requiring airlines to act professionally and flexibly to allow passengers to continue their journey as quickly and easily as possible. Layover Solutions is a start-up that offers an innovative and efficient B2B AI-supported solution for layover management, from accommodation to transportation.
In Wednesday’s announcement, BARIG’s Chairman and Executive Director, Michael Hoppe, said,
“This innovative approach is a good example of how services in air traffic can be further improved in the case of exceptional events. We are therefore delighted to welcome Layover Solutions as the newest business partner in our network.”
Also commenting on the new partnership, Layover Solutions’ Director of Sales, Isabell Ketteler, said,
“Our solution works according to the plug-and-play principle. Layover Solutions offers everyone involved a fast, transparent, and efficient answer to the previously still very complex and analog processes. We are proud that the solution has already been very well received at three German locations and are looking forward to the next milestones. The integration into BARIG’s business partner network opens up new opportunities for us to intensively exchange knowledge, which can contribute to the further development of the aviation industry.”
Founded in 1951, Frankfurt am Main-based BARIG (Board of Airline Representatives in Germany e.V.) represents over 100 national and international airlines in the scheduled, charter, low cost and air cargo sectors. The association works to improve conditions in the aviation industry in Germany and is the key industry contact for politics, authorities, industry and media.
