Azerbaijan Airlines to Launch Four Weekly Flights Between Baku and Istanbul From August 1st, 2020

Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL), announced on Monday the launch of four weekly flights between Baku and Istanbul starting August 1st, 2020. The flights will operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays.

Today (July 20, 2020), Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL), the national air carrier of Azerbaijan, announced the launch of four weekly flights between Baku and Istanbul. The service will commence on August 1st, 2020 and operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays. The carrier is currently offering a student discount of 30 percent for tickets purchased on the company’s website. Students will need to send a scanned copy of their immigration document and passport to the airline’s call center using the website’s feedback form or WhatsApp messenger. Only passengers who have been tested negatively for COVID-19 will be permitted to board flights. Laboratories accredited by the Management Union of Medical Territorial Units (TABIB) include Referans Clinical Laboratory Centre, Leyla Medical Centre, Memorial Clinic, Bona Dea International Hospital, Inci Laboratories, Center for Control of Particularly dangerous Infections, Caspian International Hospital and UltraLab. Passengers can be tested at these facilities without a doctor’s referral. Upon departure from Turkey, guests will also have to present a certificate of negative COVID-19 results (within 48 hours of departure) from one of the clinics of “Memorial Sağlik Grubu” or other approved clinics available on the website for the Ministry of Health of Turkey. Upon arrival in Baku, Azerbaijan, all passengers will be required to self-isolate for two weeks. They also need to fill out a declaration form with the address of where they intend to self-isolate.
