Avianca Business Class Guests can now Enjoy Elevated ‘Insignia by Avianca’ Onboard Menu

This month, Avianca rolled out an elevated ‘Business Class Insignia by Avianca’ inflight menu. Business Class guests can now enjoy the taste of Home Burgers & Shakes on flights from Bogota to London, Paris, Madrid and Barcelona.

On Tuesday (September 2, 2025), Avianca announced the rollout of the new ‘Insignia by Avianca’ Business Class menu, which features the taste of Home Burgers & Shakes on flights from Bogota to London, Paris, Madrid and Barcelona. Customers can enjoy Home Burgers & Shakes burgers on board at any time during the flight, up to an hour and a half before landing. Additionally, the Insignia by Avianca experience renews menus on flights from Bogota to Europe with a gastronomic proposal prepared in collaboration by Colombian chefs Álvaro Clavijo and Manuel Mendoza.
In Tuesday’s announcement, Avianca’s Vice President of Customer Delivery, Katherine Stradaioli, said,
“Insignia by Avianca offers more options in Business Class to Europe: we are proud to present on board a premium burger in collaboration with Home, made with the best products, bringing great local talent to more countries in the world. This alliance reflects our constant intention to innovate and provide memorable experiences, which surprise our passengers with unique flavors at 36,000 feet.”
Also commenting on the new menu collaboration, Home Burgers & Shakes’ Co-Founder, Pablo Vélez, said,
“Home’s participation in the Insignia by Avianca menu represents a commitment to bring that feeling of freshness and enjoyment to the flight experience, allowing business class passengers to experience a different moment closer to everyday life.”
Insignia by Avianca also continues to offer the best of local gastronomy, with a menu created by Álvaro Clavijo, Chef of the El Chato Restaurant, located in Bogotá, in collaboration with Manuel Mendoza, Chef of the Manuel Cocina restaurants, located in Barranquilla.
Further commenting on the expansion of the Insignia by Avianca menu, Chef Álvaro Clavijo, said,
“The Insignia by Avianca menu continues to evolve and it is a great honor to welcome Manuel Mendoza, to elevate the flavors of Colombia as part of this premium experience.”
Chef Manuel Mendoza, added,
[This is an] “opportunity to take advantage of the sky as a showcase for a gastronomic exploration in which tradition and creativity come together.”
The Insignia by Avianca experience is available on flights to and from Europe and includes access to fully lie-flat seats, an amenity kit by Mola Sasa, designed in collaboration with women from the Gunadule community, with Loto del Sur products. In addition to the menu, Insignia offers a welcome drink, unlimited snacks, a fine wine selection, IFE entertainment screens, lounge access, additional baggage, priority boarding, and more.
