Starting May 31, 2023, Avelo will launch exclusive nonstop service between Downtown Mobile International Airport in Alabama to Orlando, Florida. The route will operate twice weekly on Thursdays and Sundays with a Boeing 737NG.
On Tuesday (March 7, 2023), Avelo announced the launch of new, exclusive, nonstop service between Downtown Mobile International Airport (BFM) and Orlando (MCO) Florida. The route will operate twice weekly on Thursdays and Sundays from May 31, 2023 with a Boeing 737NG. Celebrating the launch of the new route, Avelo is offering introductory one-way fares from $29, including government taxes and fees. To qualify for the low promotional fares, tickets must be booked on the carrier’s website by March 17, 2023 for travel completed by September 6, 2023.
In Tuesday’s announcement, Avelo’s Chairman and CEO, Andrew Levy, said,

Alabama represents the 22nd state Avelo will serve, and we’ll be taking flight from Mobile’s most convenient airport – which will make getting to Orlando easier and faster than ever. We’re excited to be the only airline in Mobile offering nonstop flights to The Sunshine State.”
Also commenting on the new service, Mobile’s Mayor, Sandy Stimpson, said,

Not only are we flying from downtown again, but the affordable nonstop flight option to Orlando International will enhance the quality of life for our citizens. Mobile Airport Authority’s President, Chris Curry, added,
