Avelo Launches Exclusive Nonstop Service From Orlando to Charlottesville, VA and Brownsville, TX

Avelo Airlines has today announced the launch on new exclusive nonstop service from Orlando to Charlottesville, Virginia and Brownsville/South Padre Island, Texas. Charlotte and Brownsville flights will operate twice weekly from May 3rd and May 17th, respectively.

On Thursday (February 23, 2023), Avelo Airlines announced the launch of new exclusive direct service from Orlando International Airport (MCO) to Charlottesville Albemarle Airport (CHO) in Virginia and Brownsville/South Padre International Airport (BRO) in Texas. Flights to Charlottesville will operate twice weekly on Mondays and Fridays from May 3rd, while service to Brownsville/South Padre Island will operate twice weekly on Wednesdays and Saturdays starting May 17, 2023. Celebrating the launch of the new routes, Avelo is offering introductory one-way fares starting at $49-$69. To qualify for the low promotional fares, tickets to Charlottesville must be booked by February 28th, and flights to Brownsville must be booked by March 2nd, for travel completed by September 6, 2023.


In today’s route announcement, Avelo Airlines’ CEO, Andrew Levy, said,


“Orlando – Avelo is growing again in Orlando! We’re excited to announce exclusive new service to Charlottesville and South Padre Island. Getting to C’ville and the South Texas is now easier and more affordable than ever. Our MCO base continues to be an exciting platform for growth for Avelo as we add more exciting destinations for Orlando-area residents and make traveling to Central Florida easier and more affordable for out-of-state visitors.”


Including the new routes added today, Avelo now offers nonstop service to 11 destinations from Orlando, including Binghamton (New York), Dayton (Ohio), Dubuque (Iowa), New Haven (Connecticut), Raleigh-Durham (North Carolina), Wilmington (Delaware), Wilmington (North Carolina), along with Kalamazoo and Lansing (Michigan).
