Avelo Airlines Launches New Service to North Dallas from Four Florida Airports

Avelo Airlines has announced the launch of new service to and from McKinney International Airport in North Dallas, Texas. Initial routes include service to Fort Lauderdale, Fort Myers, Orlando and Tampa in Florida.

On Tuesday (June 30, 2026), Avelo Airlines announced the launch of commercial air service at McKinney National Airport (DTX) near Dallas in Texas, with nonstop flights to four Florida cities: Fort Lauderdale (FLL), Fort Myers (RSW), Orlando (MCO) and Tampa (TPA). The flights will operate on 184-seat Boeing 737-800NG based at DTX. To celebrate the launch of new McKinney service, Avelo is offering introductory one-way fares from $99, including a first free checked bag for bookings made in July (T&Cs apply).
In Tuesday’s announcement, Avelo Airlines’ Founder and CEO, Andrew Levy, said,

Avelo Airlines was founded with the simple purpose to ‘Inspire Travel’, while saving customers time and money with nonstop flights and everyday low fares. Since taking flight on April 28, 2021, the carrier has served nearly 10 million guests on more than 80,000 flights. Avelo operates a fleet of Boeing 737NG airplanes, and in 2028 will become the first U.S. airline to fly Embraer 195-E2s, with an order of up to 100 new aircraft. The carrier currently serves 37 popular destinations across 15 U.S. states and Puerto Rico, including their four bases at Southern Connecticut’s Tweed-New Haven Airport (HVN), the Philadelphia / Delaware Valley region’s Wilmington Airport (ILG), Central Florida’s Lakeland International Airport (LAL) and Charlotte’s Concord-Padgett Regional Airport (USA). In late 2026, the airline will open a fifth base at North Dallas’s McKinney National Airport (TKI).
