Avelo has today announced the launch of the Avelo Airlines World Elite Mastercard in partnership with Cardless. This makes Avelo the first U.S. domestic airline to embrace next-gen card tech, with the goal of revolutionizing airline loyalty.

On Tuesday (January 27, 2028), Avelo Airlines announced the launch of the Avelo Airlines World Elite Mastercard, in partnership with Cardless. This makes Avelo the first U.S. domestic airline to adopt next-gen credit card infrastructure with fully embedded, digital-first tech. The partnership will enable Avelo to deliver smarter rewards, faster approvals, and seamless digital integration to millions of customers, capabilities that legacy bank partnerships simply cannot match.
In Tuesday’s announcement, Avelo Airlines’ Founder and CEO, Andrew Levy, said,
“Our Customers have been asking for a loyalty program with unique perks for Avelo travelers, the Avelo Airlines Mastercard offers just that. When Cardless demonstrated what their platform could deliver—the speed, control, personalization, and seamless integration with our loyalty program, I was impressed. This is the future of airline financial products, and we’re bringing it to our Customers today while continuing our purpose of inspiring travel through convenience, affordability, and industry-leading reliability. Not only will our Customers enjoy this new technology, but they’ll also enjoy their Avelo travel perks of a free carry-on, priority boarding and cash back opportunities.”
Also commenting on the new partnership, Cardless’ Co-Founder and President, Michael Spelfogel, added,
“Avelo is proving that a startup airline can embrace game-changing technologies and leapfrog ahead. Cardless gives Avelo the power to embed and scale its financial products directly in its ecosystem, and leverage AI productivity tools that drive better offers, and a digital-first experience that customers actually want to use. We’re so proud to help power Avelo’s disruption and overhaul of airline rewards, and we expect other carriers to follow in their lead.”
The new Avelo Airlines Mastercard will integrate seamlessly with Avelo’s other offerings, while giving cardholders 5 percent in Avelo Cash back on Avelo purchases, 2 percent in Avelo Cash back on all other purchases, and unique benefits like a free carry-on bag, priority boarding, and standard seat selection (T&Cs apply).
Avelo Airlines was founded with the simple purpose to ‘Inspire Travel’, while saving customers time and money with nonstop flights and everyday low fares. Since taking flight on April 28, 2021, the carrier has served over 8.1 million guests on more than 65,000 flights. Avelo operates a fleet of Boeing 737NG airplanes, and in 2028 will become the first U.S. airline to fly Embraer 195-E2s, with an order of up to 100 new aircraft. The carrier currently serves over 30 popular destinations across the U.S., including their four bases at Southern Connecticut’s Tweed-New Haven Airport (HVN), the Philadelphia / Delaware Valley region’s Wilmington Airport (ILG), Central Florida’s Lakeland International Airport (LAL) and Charlotte’s Concord-Padgett Regional Airport (USA).
