United Airlines to Operate Record 750 Flights Daily at Chicago O’Hare for Summer 2026

United Airlines has today announced that for summer 2026 they will offer direct service from Chicago O’Hare to 222 destinations, including 47 international and 175 U.S. cities.

On Tuesday (January 27, 2026), United Airlines announced that their summer 2026 schedule will reach 750 flights daily from Chicago O'Hare International Airport (ORD), 200 more than their next largest competitor, and the largest schedule ever flown by any airline operating at O’Hare.  Throughout 2026, United will offer nonstop service to 222 destinations, more than any other airline at ORD, and 38 more than its next largest competitor.  


In Tuesday’s announcement, United’ Vice President – Chicago O’Hare International Airport, Omar Idris, said,


“We have spent the past decade building and executing a strategy that is focused on winning brand loyal customers by giving them more value when they fly United – and nowhere is that more apparent than in Chicago.  This growth at O'Hare highlights our commitment to invest in our network, customers and hiring in the city we call home.”


Starting as early as April, and on sale January 29th, United is strengthening connectivity across the Midwest with five new routes from ORD, including service to Champaign/Urbana, Ill., Kalamazoo, Mich. (AZO)Lansing, Mich. (LAN), La Crosse, Wis. (LSE), and Bloomington/Normal, Ill.  Late last year, United also announced the addition of flights to Santa Barbara, Calif. (SBA), Monterey, Calif. (MRY), Eugene, Ore. (EUG), Bristol/Tri-Cities, Tenn. (TRI), Erie, Penn. (ERI), Rochester, Minn. (RST) Wausau, Wis. (CWA) Marquette, Mich. (MQT), and more for summer 2026.


Additionally, more than 80 cities will receive additional flights to give customers even more options from Chicago including added service to popular cities like Boston (BOS), Nashville (BNA), Los Angeles (LAX), San Francisco (SFO) and Dallas (DFW).  United will also operate flights from ORD to Guadalajara, Mexico (GDL) daily from June 8th to June 27th, providing service for World Cup football (soccer) games.  With this addition, United will offer direct service from Chicago to all 16 cities hosting World Cup games in 2026.
