Austrian Airlines launched their inaugural flight between Vienna and Seville, Spain on Saturday October 14, 2023. For winter, the route will operate twice weekly on Tuesdays and Saturdays, increasing to three weekly flights for summer 2024.
On Monday (October 16, 2023), Austrian Airlines announced the launch of new service between Vienna and Seville in Spain, with the inaugural service taking flight on Saturday, October 14, 2023. For the winter 2023/24 season, the route will operate twice weekly on Tuesdays and Saturdays, expanding to three weekly flights for summer 2024. Seville is the capital of Andalusia and the birthplace of flamenco. In addition to Seville, Austrian Airlines will offer once weekly service to Rovaniemi in Finland from December 2023, as well as charter service to Kittilä, known for winter sports.
In Monday’s route announcement, Austrian Airlines’ Chief Commercial Officer, Michael Trestl, said,
“The increasing demand and the continued high interest from our guests to travel both in summer and winter show that they are looking for relaxation and sun all year round. For this reason, we have specifically expanded our winter flight schedule to include attractive tourist destinations in order to fulfill the travel needs of our passengers. The new destinations in our winter flight schedule are varied and contrasting to ensure there is something to suit every taste. This allows us to offer our guests a wide range of travel destinations.”
Guests traveling on Austrian Airlines’ first flight to Seville last Saturday were greeted at the departure gate at Vienna Airport with a selection of special attractions, and also enjoyed an exclusive culinary surprise onboard.
