Austrian Airlines has announced the release of ‘Flynachten’ a new electropop Christmas song created by members of the airline’s own ranks, which combines modern sound, real employees and a catchy tune.

On Thursday (December 18, 2025), Austrian Airlines announced an expansion of their ‘Fröhliche Flynachten’ marketing campaign with the release of a new Christmas electropop song and video created by genuine airline team members. The new in-house song, Flynachten, features a modern sound, real employees, and rhythmic sounds with a catchy tune. With beats instead of bells and flow instead of a classic Christmas choir, Austrian Airlines is making a strong, contemporary statement in this year's Christmas communication.
In Thursday’s announcement, Austrian Airlines’ Head of Brand and Communications, Ingrid Gogl, said,
“With the Flynachten song, we translate the energy of our teams into music and at the same time make them want to fly with Austrian Airlines – direct, honest and with a lot of flow. With the song, we tell the story of Christmas from a fresh perspective and at the same time offer our employees a stage. Especially in the most intense travel season, they show professionalism, warm hospitality, charm and sometimes a little humor day after day - and that's exactly what we packed into our Flynachten song.”
Austrian Airlines’ in-house content production team was responsible for the entire implementation of the song and video, and employees from the company stood in front of the camera. Flynachten combines urban sound with Christmas mood and picks up on typical elements of flying, such as snowflakes on the window, lights in red and white, turbine tones and gate atmosphere, which merge with casual beats and catchy rhymes such as ‘Christmas becomes Flynachten.’ The result is a modern Christmas track that authentically and surprisingly reinterprets the emotionality of traveling during the holiday season.
