ANA Launches Unique Akkeshi Japanese Single Malt Whisky Collection

ANA has announced the launch of Akkeshi single malt Japanese whisky from the ‘Hokusai North Colors’ series. Through their International In-flight Duty-Free Pre-Order Service, three varieties from the series will be available, including Suirei, Kūsui and Kokiake.

On Friday (June 20, 2025), All Nippon Airways (ANA) announced the launch of Akkeshi single malt Japanese whisky from the ‘Hokusai North Colors’ series. Through their International In-flight Duty-Free Pre-Order Service, three varieties from the series is available, including Suirei, Kūsui and Kokiake. Each whisky presents distinct flavors, aromas and colors, collectively forming an exclusive lineup evoking the nature and four seasons of Hokkaido, through Hokusai’s distinctive artistic lens. When aligned, the packaging unveils Hokusai’s iconic artwork, ‘The Great Wave off Kanagawa.’
In Friday’s announcement, ANA’s EVP – Customer Experience, Tomoji Ishii, said,

The inclusion of this distinctive Japanese whisky not only enriches our offerings but also proudly showcases the allure of Japan’s rich culture and craftsmanship to a global audience.”

Each of the three whiskies will be released in waves, currently planned for July 1st and September 1st, 2025, and January 1st, 2026, allowing collectors to gradually complete the set and reveal the striking image of Hokusai's renowned ukiyo-e print, ‘The Great Wave off Kanagawa’ from the ‘Thirty-Six Views of Mount Fuji’ series.
