From October 2024, American Airlines will launch new service between Dallas-Fort Worth and Brisbane, Australia. The route will be operated with a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner featuring Flagship Suite® seats.
On Thursday (February 1, 2024), American Airlines announced the launch of new service between Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) and Brisbane, Australia (BNE) starting October 27, 2024. The new seasonal route, which will be the carrier’s longest, will be operated daily with a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner featuring 51 Flagship Suite® seats and 32 Premium Economy seats. Inbound customers to DFW will also enjoy convenient one-stop connections to over 100 U.S. destinations that currently require at least two stops.
In Thursday’s route announcement, American Airlines’ Senior Vice President of Network and Schedule Planning, Brian Znotins, said,
“American is thrilled to grow our international network to give customers more ways to escape the cold next winter. Together with Qantas, customers can enjoy more ways to explore new destinations across one of the most comprehensive networks connecting the United States and the South Pacific.”
American’s joint business partnership with Qantas offers customers one of the most comprehensive networks connecting North America with Australia and New Zealand. Next winter, the partnership will offer flights from Los Angeles (LAX), San Francisco (SFO), New York (JFK) and Vancouver (YVR) to Sydney (SYD), Melbourne (MEL) and Brisbane (BNE) in Australia, as well as to Auckland (AKL) in New Zealand. With the American-Qantas partnership, customers will be able to connect to over 200 U.S. destinations and nearly 70 destinations across Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific.
American Airlines is also adding service between Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) and Veracruz, Mexico in June 2024, as well as to Rio de Janeiro (GIG) starting October 27, 2024. The new DFW-GIG service will complement American’s existing service to Rio from Miami (MIA) and New York (JFK). Additionally, the carrier will resume service between DFW and Kona, Hawaii (KOA) on October 27, 2024. This year, American will also add expanded service from their hubs to Rio de Janeiro (GIG), Grand Cayman (GCM), Turks & Caicos (PLS) and St. Thomas USVI (STT).
