American Airlines will expand their winter 2024/25 schedule with the launch on eight new routes to Latin America and the Caribbean from Charlotte, New York-JFK, and Philadelphia.
On Thursday (May 16, 2024), American Airlines announced an expansion of their winter 2024/25 schedule with the launch of eight new routes to Latin America and the Caribbean. With new service to La Romana (LRM) in the Dominican Republic from December, American will offer more service to the country than any other airline. Additionally, the carrier will launch seven new Latin American and Caribbean routes from Charlotte (CLT), New York (JFK), and Philadelphia (PHL). In total, American will operate over 2,350 peak weekly flights to more than 95 destinations in Latin America and the Caribbean for winter 2024/25, more than any other U.S. airline, 11 percent more departures than winter 2023/24.
In Thursday’s announcement, American Airlines’ SVP – Network and Schedule Planning, Brian Znotins, said,
“Customers will have more reasons to choose American than ever before for nonstop fun in the sun this year. We are excited to continue growing our network to the region with more flights this winter to the Caribbean and Latin America than any other U.S. carrier ever.”
Next winter, American Airlines will offer exclusive service to St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVD) and La Romana in the Dominican Republic (LRM), two destinations joining over 20 others in the region where American is the only nonstop service provider. Over 98 percent of American’s peak schedule to the region will operate for the full winter season, and the carrier also grow service on 16 popular routes from December 2024.
