American Airlines Expands Buy On Board Menu, Introduces Tequila

From June 1st, 2025, American Airlines will offer tequila on select flights as an inflight alcoholic beverage for eligible guests.  The carrier has also introduced new snack baskets in premium cabins, while expanding their buy on board menu for Main Cabin customers.

On Wednesday (May 21, 2025), American Airlines announced the introduction of tequila as a new onboard adult beverage on select flights for eligible guests starting June 1st, 2025.  The carrier has selected Dallas-Fort Worth’s own award-winning Socorro Tequila as the new beverage option.  Crafted in the highlands of Jalisco using 100 percent Blue Weber agave, Socorro Tequila is known for its clean, additive-free profile, delivering a premium flavor that will elevate any journey at 35,000 feet. 


Beyond the beverage cart, the carrier also continues to serve customer favorites, and is also expanding their offerings.  Starting June 11, 2025, guests traveling in premium will be able to enjoy a new midday snack basket, in addition to the morning and afternoon snack baskets already on offer.  The new morning snack basket includes fresh clementine, B’cuz’ Cherry Pistachio Granola Bites, Think Jerky Free-Range Turkey Stick, Blake’s Seed-Based Breakfast Bar+Protein, Bare Organic Apple Chips, and Wonderful Sea Salt & Pepper Pistachios.

The midday snack basket features Tate’s Chocolate Chip Cookies, Garrett White Cheddar Popcorn, Cooper’s Cheese Straws, Cooper Street Granola Bakes, BobbySue’s Nuts Everything Goes Nuts and Think Jerky Grass-Fed Beef Stick.  American’s afternoon snack basket includes Homefree Vanilla Mini Cookies, Miss Vickie’s Sea Salt Chips, Over Easy Almond & Raisins Oat Bar, CauliPuffs White Cheddar Corn, Rice and Cauliflower Puffed Snack, Wonderful Sea Salt & Pepper Pistachios, and Think Jerky Grass-Fed Beef Stick.


As previously mentioned, American Airlines is also expanding their ‘buy on board’ menu, launching on select flights from June 1st, 2025.  New additions include a hearty steak and pimento cheese sandwich, tray table tapas, featuring olives, dried apricots, beef jerky, pistachio, white cheddar dip, pita chips and brownie brittle, and Brooklyn Biltong Steakhouse Air Fried Beef Jerky.  The new buy on board options join customer favorites such as the fruit and cheese tray, the Tostitos Snack Box and Doritos Cool Ranch Minis.  American is also expanding the popular buy on board menu to more flights, with the option now available on mainline routes starting at 1,100 miles.
