On Tuesday (September 9, 2025), American Airlines announced that following a successful launch on select European flights earlier this summer, they are expanding their destination-inspired dining program to routes across Oceania and South America. Guests will be able to savor the essence of their destination before they even arrive, or once again experience flavors of their journeys while heading home.

Starting fall 2026, customers flying in Flagship® Business to Sydney (SYD), Brisbane (BNE) and Auckland (AKL), can enjoy chef-curated menus that celebrate the bold, vibrant flavors of the Pacific. Flagship® Business menus on flights to Australia and New Zealand will feature Sweet glazed chile sea bass with light couscous, tender bok choy and roasted carrots, or Kona-crusted beef filet with rich sweet potato mash, sauteed kale and a silky balsamic demi-glace.
American Airlines’ guests on return flights from Buenos Aires (EZE), Montevideo (MVD), and Santiago, Chile (SCL), will also enjoy menus that embrace the heart and soul of South American cuisine. Flagship® Business selections include pan-fried sea bass, paired with couscous and peperonata sauce, or Mozzarella cappelletti, delicate pasta parcels filled with creamy mozzarella in a sun-dried tomato sauce. Other Business Class selections include grilled tenderloin and zucchini spaghetti, finished with a puttanesca sauce, or grilled marinated chicken breast, accompanied by charred vegetables and garlic mash.

Premium Economy guests returning from select South American destinations will be able to enjoy stuffed ricotta cannelloni baked in a rich tomato sauce and topped with aged Parmesan, or grilled turkey breast with herb-roasted potatoes and seasonal vegetables.
Main cabin guests will also experience the tastes of South American cuisine with selections such as Teriyaki beef ragout, featuring tender beef simmered in a savory-sweet glaze, or Cauliflower pie, a warm, satisfying vegetarian option layered with spices and creamy bechamel.
