Yoshihiro Takahashi is the chef-owner of Hyotei, a famed Kyoto restaurant known for its traditional Japanese cuisine for over 400 years. Onboard meals by the chef will be available to ANA’s First Class guests traveling to North America and Europe.
On Monday (November 16, 2020) All Nippon Airways (ANA) announced the addition of Yoshihiro Takahashi to their ‘THE CONNOISSEURS’ culinary program. Yoshihiro Takahashi is the chef-owner of Hyotei, a famed Kyoto restaurant known for traditional Japanese cuisine, which has a history of over 400 years. First Class guests traveling from Japan to North America and Europe from September and November 2021 will enjoy the chef’s menu. In Monday’s announcement, ANA’s Executive Vice President, Hideki Kunugi, said,

THE CONNOISSEURS is an example of how we apply these values in all areas of operation and constantly strive to improve the in-flight experience. Since its launch THE CONNOISSEURS program has been highly praised by passengers and culinary enthusiasts both in Japan and internationally. By adding Takahashi to our list of participating chefs, passengers will be able to enjoy a truly distinct and authentic dining experience.”
Takahashi is the chef-owner of Hyotei and has received three Michelin stars for 12 consecutive years including 2020. Hyotei dates back over 400 years and Takahashi represents the 15th generation to operate the restaurant, which is located on the grounds of the Nanzenji temple in Kyoto.
