Alaska Airlines to Launch Nonstop Flights From Seattle, San Jose and San Diego to Jackson Hole

Alaska Airlines announced on Thursday that they will launch new seasonal nonstop flights to Jackson Hole, Wyoming from Seattle, San Jose and San Diego in December. The carrier will offer five-times weekly service from Seattle and San Diego and twice-weekly from San Jose.

Today (August 27, 2020), Alaska Airlines announced the launch of new seasonal service from Seattle, San Jose and Sand Diego to Jackson Hole, Wyoming. From December 17, 2020 and April 11, 2021, the carrier will offer five-times weekly service from Seattle and San Diego. Flights from San Jose to Jackson Hole will be available between December 19, 2020 and April 10, 2020. The new routes will allow Alaska Airlines’ guests to hit the ski slopes faster, as all flights are less than three hours. Additionally, all departing flights offer afternoon departures for easy West Coast connections, while return flights from Jackson Hole depart in late afternoon or early evening, maximizing time on the slopes. In Thursday’s announcement, Alaska Airlines’ Managing Director of Capacity Planning and Alliances, Brett Catlin said,

“Jackson Hole and the surrounding Grand Teton mountains offer a legendary winter wonderland with a rich history, amazing service, and plenty of activities both on and off the mountain. We know our guests on the West Coast are looking for nonstop access to more outdoor locales and we’re excited to expand our footprint with the addition of Jackson Hole.”


Also commenting on Thursday’s announcement, JH Air’s Chairman, Senator Mike Gierau added,


“We know this is a challenging time for travelers and for our local community; offering non-stop service to Jackson Hole will appeal to skiers/snowboarders and winter enthusiasts, while providing a great option for many of our locals with family and/or business connections on the West Coast.”


All Jackson Hole routes will be serviced with an Embraer E175 offering three classes of service, WiFi, and Alaska Airlines’ Next-Level Care – offering layered protection of nearly 100 actions taken by the carrier to ensure the health and well-being of guests and team members. Some actions taken to combat the pandemic include enhanced aircraft and airport cleaning, mandatory face masks, hospital-grade HEPA filters, an air filtration system that brings fresh outside air into the cabin every three minutes, hand sanitizing stations and more. Flights are available for booking now with one-way fares from Seattle starting at $139 and one-way fares from San Jose and San Diego from $129.
