Alaska Airlines to Add New Service Between Portland, Oregon and Atlanta for Fall 2024

Starting October 1st, 2024, Alaska Airlines will launch year-round daily nonstop service between Portland, Oregon and Atlanta.  Alaska is the largest carrier in Portland, offering direct service to 54 destinations.

On Friday (February 23, 2024), Alaska Airlines announced the launch of new daily year-round nonstop service between Portland, Oregon and Atlanta starting October 1st, 2024.  Alaska has been the largest carrier in Portland for more than 20 years, and with the addition of Portland-Atlanta service this fall, will offer direct service from Portland to 54 destinations.  Alaska launched new nonstop service between Portland and Miami last November, and will also launch new year-round service between Portland and Nashville on March 14, 2024.  


In Friday’s route announcement, Alaska Airlines’ VP – Revenue Management and Network Planning, Kirsten Amrine, said,


For more than 20 years, we’ve been the largest carrier in Portland – one of our key West Coast gateways. We’re always looking for ways to connect the Rose City to other destinations across our network.

In early February 2024, Alaska announced the addition of over 20 daily departures to popular destinations from Portland for summer 2024, a year-over -year capacity increase of 25 percent.  Alaska guests enjoy a premium travel experience with extra legroom in First Class and Premium Class, no change fees, multiple fare offers, a generous loyalty program, and West Coast food and beverages onboard.  The carrier also has 30 global partners for seamless onward connectivity.
