Alaska Airlines Promotes Alisa Onishi to the Position of Managing Director

Alaska Airlines has announced the promotion of Alisa Onishi to Managing Director of Hawaiʻi Marketing for Hawaiian and Alaska airlines.  Based in Honolulu, Ms. Onishi will lead brand marketing for Hawaiian, while advancing the company’s multi-brand strategy.

On Wednesday (July 9, 2025), Alaska Airlines announced the promotion of Alisa Onishi to Managing Director of Hawai‘i marketing.  Ms. Onishi will lead brand marketing and guest experience enhancements for Hawaiian Airlines, while also advancing Hawaiian and Alaska Airlines’ multi-brand strategy – a first in the U.S. airline industry.  In addition to driving brand integration, loyalty and sponsorships, she will also support employee culture and cross-brand programs including the development of new uniforms.


In Wednesday’s announcement, Alaska and Hawaiian Airlines’ VP – Brand and Marketing, Eric Edge, said,


“Alisa’s experience and leadership stewarding the Hawaiian Airlines brand, and passion for bringing together our rich company cultures while maintaining their distinct identities make her the ideal person to take on this pioneering and exciting work.”


Joining Hawaiian Airlines in 2011, Alisa Onishi recently served as Senior Director of Brand, Culture and Community Relations, and will remain a key member of the Honolulu leadership team.  Previously, she held marketing management roles at Hawaiian Telcom and Mobi PCS. A resident of Kaneohe in east O‘ahu, she earned a Bachelor of Arts in visual communications from Hawaii Pacific University.
