Alaska Airlines has today announced the introduction of ‘Alaska Access’, a new $5 monthly subscription service that offers members exclusive deals, discounted Wi-Fi and more cost saving tools.
On Wednesday (March 20, 2024), Alaska Airlines announced the launch of ‘Alaska Access’ a new monthly subscription service that promises users exclusive deals, discounted Wi-Fi and a host of other cost saving tools. The monthly subscription cost is $5.00 and upon signup, subscribers will receive their first monthly voucher for Alaska’s inflight streaming Wi-Fi. Other Alaska Access benefits include advanced alerts for fare sales, and a calendar view of the lowest fares tailored to the subscribers favorite destinations.
In Wednesday’s announcement, Alaska Airlines’ Vice President of Business Development, Shane Jones, said,
“We know time is valuable for our guests who are busy balancing a lot in their lives and we kept that in mind when we developed Alaska Access. Alaska Access is part of our commitment to make travel more affordable and convenient for everyone – whether planning for your dream vacation or returning home from college. Our new subscription service allows you to discover some of our best deals of the year right at your fingertips, in just minutes.”
Alaska Airlines was the first U.S. carrier to introduce a subscription service when they launched ‘Flight Pass’ in 2022. The new Alaska Access subscription is rolling out just in time for spring and summer travel, bringing added value and convenience to travelers. As previously mentioned, subscribers will be alerted to fare sales early, the night before the sale drops, via in-app notification, with the ability to book immediately. This will help ensure that customers can book their preferred flights and seats. Alaska Access also allows subscribers to personalize a fare page, with the ability to view some of the airline’s lowest fares by money and miles to over 500 global destinations.
Additionally, each month, Alaska Access subscribers will receive a one-time use voucher discount code that allows streaming, browsing and chat onboard using Alaska’s satellite Wi-Fi.
